If You Could Live Anywhere In The World....

Where would you choose?  This assumes you can work from home or be retired from work.

Personally for me, no place stands out above the others.  Maybe I just haven't been there yet.  Paris was pretty cool, but unless I could afford the eurostar every week to come back to watch Palace, I dunno.  I dont think i would miss much about Britain these days.  How traitorous of me Smile I like Cyprus but it's very small.

Devon is where the wife wants to retire, (she is a Devonian)

I personally would like to retire in Goa, but most probably be a miserable old man in Devon

Would go back to Italy in a heartbeat - either the Rome area or down along the Adriatic coastline somewhere.

Despite their chaotic political and economic systems and their inordinate love of pointless bureaucracy, there's just something about the Italian lifestyle that really appeals to me.

Either Catalonia or San Francisco (too expensive though)

Yepp, even down where I am a place like the one in the advert is about 7 million Swedish kronor, or about £650,000. Property prices over here have more than doubled in the last 3 years because of the influx of people yet it is still cheap by UK standards.

This is a 10 room house built in 1906 which is on the market for £600,000 and is just at the end of my road. It has 3 floors, a 2 floor guest house and the main house even has a golf room!

Just 40 minutes to Malmö, 90 minutes from Göteborg and about the same to Copenhagen in Denmark. Or the ferry is 20 minutes to Helsingör, who we played last summer. You can be in London inside 5 hours.

It's in Småland which is in the middle of nowhere, literally. It's like 6 hours to the nearest major city but 2 hours to a minor city. Maybe 30 minutes by car.

Do Småland council let you build mancaves though?  If so, for retirement it sounds ideal.  Surely it must tick the 'blonde haired beautys' box you would think.
